Bachelor Examination Daniel Dyck
2020/12/18
Daniel Dyck successfully completes his bachelor thesis in the Schäfer working group on 18 December 2020. Congratulations! The thesis is entitled “Determination of Ionization Potentials of Small Sn N Clusters (N=6-12,15,16)” and was written in the research field of VUV Spectroscopy.
In the course of his work, the existing apparatus for the determination of ionization potentials was optimized. For this purpose, the time-of-flight mass spectrometer (TOF) was modified, whereby an increase in the intensity of ionized clusters could be achieved. By further improving the source conditions and settings on the TOF, it was possible to measure near-literature ionization potentials of smaller tin clusters for the first time.
