We welcome several new team members: Claire Förster successfully finished her Master Thesis and will join the ERC StG project as PhD student. Lucy Zhao is about to finish her Master Thesis and will continue as PhD student within the ERC StG. Laura Despot joined our team as Master Student working on in-situ functionalization of mesopores and Svenja Albus joined our team for her Bachelor Thesis on confinement effects and sensing.

Our manuscript on photoresponsive spiropyran and spirooxazine ROMP homopolymers at mesoporous surfaces got accepted in J. Mater. Chem. A for the 2016 Emerging Investigators themed issue: Novel design strategies for new functional materials!


We welcome Daniel John as a new PhD student in our group working on our DFG project about nanolocal polymerizations using surface plasmons in mesoporous films.


We welcome Jessica Tom as a new Postdoc in our group working on polymer gradients in mesoporous films financed by the Boehringer Ingelheim Stiftung.


Thanks to an Exploration Grant of the Boehringer Ingelheim Stiftung we will start exploring gradient functionalization of mesoporous membranes!
