16th LDPE Plant Improvement Conference 2023

The 16th LDPE Plant Improvement Conference took place this year on May 22nd and 23rd in Lisbon, Portugal. The conference, organized by Uhde HPT, brings together companies involved in the operation of LDPE and EVA production plants to exchange information on innovations in the industry.
For several years Professor Busch has been presenting the group's latest research results at this conference. This year, the group participated in the conference with four presentations from five PhD students:
- Investigation of individual peroxide decomposition kinetics in cocktails under relevant process conditions, Svenja Albus, Markus Busch
- Micro injection set-up for high-pressure polymerization of delicate monomers, Denise Eryildirim, Markus Busch
- Combined deflagration and ventilation investigations under process conditions, Moritz Imhoff, Aaron Röblitz, Markus Busch
- Implementation of new monomers into the high-pressure process, Sascha Hintenlang, Markus Busch
In addition, the PhD students had the opportunity to represent our group and the working methods also in the form of a booth. The conference offers a good opportunity to gain insight into industry-relevant topics and to establish contacts.
