We must sadly announce that Prof. Wolfgang Haase passed away Dec 11, 2018 at the age of 82.

Nevertheless, this website wants to present Professor Haase's research while he was an esteemed university member and continued his scientific work after retirement.

Since 11/2016 Prof. Wolfgang Haase is an external Professor at South Ural State University of Cheljabinsk and head of the Laboratory of Molecular Electronics there.

Frederiks Medal of the Russian Liquid Crystal Society

On 1st July 2014 Prof. Haase was awarded with the Frederiks Medal of the Russian Liquid Crystal Society (speaking for GUS). The Medal was given to him along the International Conference on Liquid Crystals in Dublin. The Medal is named after the well-known Russian Researcher Vsevolod K. Frederiks, see also Liquid Crystals Today.

Relaxation Phenomena

Although retired, Prof. Haase still worked with many coworkers all around the world and regularly published in different refereed journals. The book Relaxation Phenomena was edited together with Stan Wròbel from Jagiellonian University Cracow, a long time coworker who sadly passed away in 2013.
