Dr. Nirman Chakraborty will conduct research in Physical Chemistry for two years as a Post-Doc Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in the research group of Prof. Dr. Christian Hess. His particular interest lies in the mechanisms of chemoresistive gas sensors, which will be studied using innovative operando and transient diagnostic techniques. The research activities focus on gas sensors that are of significant current interest for the sensitive detection of environmentally and health-damaging gases, such as VOCs (volatile organic compounds).
