Bunsen-Tagung 2025
Research Group Hess Featured with Three Presentations at Bunsen-Tagung 2025
2025/03/19
At this year’s Bunsen-Tagung, held from March 17–19, 2025, our research group contributed three scientific presentations.
Prof. Dr. Christian Hess delivered a lecture entitled “Elucidating Active Sites in Selective Oxidation Reactions as a Basis for Rational Catalyst Design”. His talk demonstrated the potential of our recent operando and transient spectroscopic developments, applied to both supported catalysts and commercial bulk oxide systems.
In addition, PhD researchers Henrik Hoyer and Maximilian Pfeiffer presented their contributions showcasing the innovative work we are doing together in heterogeneous catalysis and gas sensing:
- “Raman and UV-Vis Modulation Excitation Spectroscopy: A Powerful Approach to Identify Active Species in Copper-Ceria Catalysts” – Henrik Hoyer
- “Refining the CO Sensing Mechanism of Au-Doped SnO₂ Gas Sensors Using Modulation Excitation IR Spectroscopy” – Maximilian Pfeiffer
