This year, our research group visited Luna Alpaka farm in Darmstadt. After a hearty breakfast at the university, we took the train to meet alpacas, geese, ducks, and chickens. Our guide Petra shared fun alpaca facts—like how they communicate by spitting and rely on humans to stay healthy.
We paired up with alpacas, led them around, and enjoyed a relaxing break with apple cider in a nearby forest. Back at the farm, we said goodbye to our fluffy friends before heading to Herrngarten Café for dinner. The day ended with drinks and a pub quiz at Bruchbude, a classic Darmstadt student bar.
It was a fantastic day filled with great memories, good food, and lots of alpaca knowledge!
