About
This project will apply spatially resolved operando characterization to derive structure-property correlations for varying chemical potential inside a reactor during oxidative dehydrogenation of ethanol and propane. Catalysts with different iron surroundings, that is iron molybdates and iron vanadates, will be used. Raman and UV-Vis spectroscopy will be extended from steady-state operando analysis toward transient spectroscopy to enable the identification of actively participating species/sites and to define reactivity descriptors, as a basis for tuning the reactivity of iron-based oxides.
