B10N
NMR Hyperpolarization with Iron Catalysts

About

B10N advances the use of parahydrogen-induced polarization (PHIP) as a powerful tool to explore local environments of iron. The goal is to understand how the environment influences the PHIP effect, which provides mechanistic details of catalytic hydrogenation. This allows to tune iron for efficient catalysis under ambient conditions. B10N focuses on molecular iron complexes with nitrogen-rich ligands. It establishes PHIP on molecular catalysts in area B, and then integrates this with mechanistic studies to bridge towards metallic nano catalysts in area C.
