Homogeneous catalysis and fluorescent dyes meet organometallic chemistry. This triangle at the borderline between organic and inorganic chemistry characterizes our research activities which are aimed at: a) improving the efficiency with which simple organic molecules are converted into more complex organic molecules; b) understanding the mechanism of such reactions utilizing various spectroscopic techniques, and c) utilizing fluorescent dyes to monitor changes at the catalytically active metals with extremely high sensitivity and selectivity.
