The building can be recognized by the tube bundle reactor in front of it. To the right of the reactor a road leads up a small slope to the entrance of the institute building. You can also reach the entrance from the reserved parking area by walking past the building on the left. Take the passenger elevator to the second floor. After getting off, walk straight ahead into the corridor. There you will find the offices of the group.

Motorway A5 (Frankfurt – Basel) or motorway A67 (Cologne – Mannheim), exit Darmstädter Kreuz, from there head to Darmstadt Stadtmitte. Follow the signs “TU-Lichtwiese”. Depending on the time of day, the journey by car through the city centre takes between 15 and 20 minutes.

Tram line 2 (“Lichtwiesenbahn”) to the final station TU-Lichtwiese (Mo-Fr). The total travel time is about 20 minutes and the tram runs approximately every 10 minutes.

Alternatively, the bus line L from Luisenplatz or Schloss in the city center. The bus runs approximately every 15 minutes.

Odenwaldbahn RB80 in direction Erbach (Odw.) or RB81 in direction Eberbach of the VIAS GmbH to the stop TU-Lichtwiese. Follow the footpath along the experimental halls of the Department of Mechanical Engineering until you reach Otto-Berndt-Straße. Now walk straight ahead into Alarich-Weiss-Straße and follow it until you see a tube bundle reactor on your left.

Take the Odenwaldbahn RB82 in the direction of Erbach (Odw.) of VIAS GmbH and get off at the stop TU-Lichtwiese. Follow the footpath along the experimental halls of the Department of Mechanical Engineering until you reach Otto-Berndt-Straße. Now go straight ahead into Peter-Grünberg-Straße and follow this street until you see a tube bundle reactor on your left.

From Terminal 1 from Bus Platform 14 as well as from Terminal 2 the HEAG-Airliner runs every 30-60 minutes directly to Darmstadt (travel time approx. 30 minutes). Get off at the third stop “Hauptbahnhof” in Darmstadt. From there take tram line 2 to the final stop: TU-Lichtwiese. The total travel time is about 30 minutes, the tram runs every 10 minutes.
