Kekule Stipendium for Jannik Mehmel

The aim of his promotion work is to achieve an enrichment of one of the two structural isomers observed for the Sn₈ and Sn₁₂ clusters in the molecular beam. Both electrical deflection experiments and spectroscopic measurements will then be carried out on the isomer-enriched molecular beams. The measurement of photodissociation spectra and the ionization potential, coupled with quantum chemical calculations, will be used to understand how the different geometric arrangement of the atoms in the structural isomers influences the optoelectronic structure.
