Chiara Schleif successfully completes her bachelor thesis in the Schäfer working group on 8 July 2021. Congratulations! The thesis is entitled “Laser-Spectroscopic Investigation of Charged and Neutral Tin Clusters in the Molecular Beam” and was written in the research field of UV-Vis Spectroscopy.
Photodissociation spectra of cationic tin clusters were recorded and interpreted together with the neutral species in terms of their absorption behavior. The cause of unusually high absorption cross sections of the cationic clusters were discussed in the context of multiphoton processes as well as under the variation of the laser injection time.
