Master Examination David Büchner

2022/03/03

David Büchner successfully completes his master thesis in the Schäfer working group on 3rd of March, 2022. Congratulations! The thesis is entitled “Temperature Programmed Desorption Study on Monodisperse Deposited Platinumclusters” and was written in the research field of Cluster Catalysis.

In this work, platinum clusters were generated using a magnetron sputter source under high vacuum conditions, selected in the molecular beam according to their mass and monodispersed on prepared titanium dioxide surfaces. Carbon monoxide desorption studies were then performed on the platinum clusters using temperature programmed desorption (TPD) and the obtained desorption curves were related to possible adsorption sites and cluster morphology.
