Directions & Map

The TU Lichtwiese campus can be reached by public transport via the TU Lichtwiese/Mensa bus stop and via the Odenwaldbahn (VIAS) railway station Darmstadt TU Lichtwiese Bahnhof.

From Darmstadt main station

Take tram line 2 in the direction of TU Lichtwiese to the terminus TU Lichtwiese/Campus (line 2 only runs to Merck-Stadion on Saturdays and Sundays). The journey takes about 17 minutes. Another option is the bus line L (TU Lichtwiese/Campus) from the bus stop Luisenplatz or Schloss.

From Frankfurt Main Station

From Frankfurt main station, there is also a direct connection to Darmstadt TU Lichtwiese station with the RB 82 (Odenwaldbahn). Journey time approx. 25 minutes. This connection is offered every two hours or hourly in the afternoon and early evening.

You can reach Darmstadt via the A5 motorways (from Frankfurt/M. – Heidelberg/Basel) and A67 (from Cologne/Wiesbaden – Mannheim). At the Darmstadt motorway junction, take the Darmstadt/Stadtmitte exit.

Coming from the motorway junction Darmstadt, follow the Rheinstraße/B26 along the signs Darmstadt/Stadtmitte into the City-Ring-Tunnel.

In the City-Ring-Tunnel take the left exit and at the end of Hügelstraße turn half-right at the traffic lights onto Nieder-Ramstädter Straße. Follow the road for about 1 km, turn left into Heinrichstraße and follow the signs TU-Lichtwiese.

The chemistry buildings L2l02 to L2l07 are located at Peter-Grünberg-Straße 4-16.
