On the 25th of Novermber Moritz Spiske defended his Ph. D. thesis on macrycyclic FKBP51 inhibitors. To is it posed the existential question: What is a Spiske?

In Skat, at least in our group, this referrs to finding very good cards in the skat after having a bad hand. Moritz was one of our most prolific skat champions and a great lab mate that we will dearly miss.
