On the 27th of January our colleaue Carlo Walz defended his Ph. D. thesis. Carlo worked on macrocylces as inhibitors for FKBP51.

Carlo was not only an outstanding synthetic chemist but also a great colleague with a superb sense of humor. The synthetic Lab will remember you whenever they pass your meme-wall and the biochemists will kindly thank you for the Mensa lowering the price of cake soon, since there is high demand leaving with you.
