Überblick
Unsere Gesellschaft muss in den kommenden Jahren in vielen Aspekten nachhaltiger werden, wie beispielsweise in der Energiewirtschaft, der Ressourcennutzung oder in industriellen Prozessen. Für diese unterschiedlichen Arbeitsbereiche vermittelt die Ringvorlesung aktuelle Lösungsansätze aus der Chemie und angrenzenden Gebieten wie Physik und Materialwissenschaft.
Im Sommersemester 2022 liegt der Fokus der Ringvorlesung auf dem Magnetismus. Es werden Methoden und Methodenentwicklungen aus den Bereichen Synthese bzw. Präparation, Spektroskopie, Analytik und Theorie bzw. Modellierung vorgestellt und das Wechselspiel dieser Methoden beleuchtet.

Overview
Over the coming years, our society has to become more sustainable in many aspects including the energy economy, the utilisation of resources, and many industrial processes. This lecture series highlights current solutions for these topics that are rooted in chemistry and adjoining fields such as physics and materials science. In the summer term 2022, the focus is placed on magnetism. Methods and method developments in synthesis or preparation, spectroscopy, analytical techniques, and theory or modelling will be discussed and the interplay between these methods will be showcased.
