Conference SFB 1487

This year's conference of the SFB 1487 “Iron, upgraded!”, which started in January 2022, took place in Weinheim at the Bergstraße. Here, the six universities/institutes came together to present and discuss research progress and prospects, but also future collaborations.
During the three-day conference, in addition to poster presentations, the talks of the individual subgroups and seminars on publication tactics were held. The AK Schäfer, represented by Prof. Rolf Schäfer and Filip Rivic, presented the first evaluated data on electrical deflection and the measurement of ionization potentials (IPs) with the old flashlamp setup of FeSnN clusters. In the next few months, a new laser setup for improving the signal intensity for measuring IPs will be established and investigated through cooperation with other subgroup FeSiN clusters.
