International Advanced Design Project 2025
2025/03/24 by M. Rose

This year's Advanced Design Project took place from March 3-14 2025 with 71 participants from the chemical technology and chemical engineers from our partners at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and Provadis Hochschule.
The students successfully designed a plant for hydrogen production using methanol steam reforming (MSR) based on green methanol as a hydrogen carrier. The great final of the project was the presentation of the basic engineering concept at our industrial partner Evonik as part of an excursion to Marl with a tour of the site. We would like to thank all the assistants for their great support and our industrial partner for providing this exciting topic and the detailed insights into industrial-scale chemical plants at a Verbund site.
