Annual Meeting on High-Pressure Process Engineering 2025

2025/03/19

This year's meeting of the DECHEMA / VDI working groups on mixing processes, high-pressure process engineering and multiphase flows took place from March 19 to 21 at the Hamburg University of Technology.

The joint conference of the three specialist groups was opened by a first plenary lecture on the topic of biocatalytic processes under high pressure. In addition to the presentations by the individual working groups on the topics of mixing processes, high-pressure process engineering and multiphase flows, the joint poster sessions and the evening program enabled the exchange between the three working groups. The working group Busch was represented with the topics of reaction engineering, safety engineering, modeling and reactor design. The following presentations and posters were contributed:

  • Investigation and Modeling of the Single- and Two-Phase Flow in High-Pressure Relief Systems, Daniel Dyck, Markus Busch (lecture)
  • Conducting Semi-Batch Emulsion Polymerizations under High-Pressure Conditions, Johanna Viernickel, Felix Warnecke¹, Timo Melchin¹, Kristina Zentel (lecture)
  • Coupled CFD and Monte-Carlo Simulation for the High-Pressure Polymerization of LDPE in a Multizone-Autoclave, Emil Schwarz, Christoph Weigel, Markus Busch (poster)
