Visit to Borealis in Linz

In order to conclude a cooperation project, six PhD students of the research group Busch together with Professor Busch visited the Linz plant of Borealis in Austria on July 6th.
The visit to Linz represented the end of a successful cooperation between the research group and Borealis Polyolefine GmbH. Apart from the project-related discussion, Lena Gockel, Alexander Klimeck, Aaron Röblitz, Anne Rott, Lorenz Schmidt and Nicola Schreiner presented the results of their ongoing research. In order to initiate new cooperation opportunities between the Technical Chemistry department of TU Darmstadt and Borealis Polyolefine GmbH, Professor Markus Busch and Professor Marcus Rose gave an overview on their respective research groups. Following, the group was offered a tour through the Linz site, showing their facilities for laboratory polymerization, mechanical testing and polymer processing.
