Excursion of the TC1-Lecture to Evonik in Weiterstadt

In the context of the TC1 lecture an excursion led by Prof. Markus Busch and Dr. Kristina Zentel to the Evonik Industries AG site in Weiterstadt took place on August 9th.
As part of the excursion the participants were able to visit the polymerization plant of Evonik Industries AG for the production of oil additives. Following an introduction into the topic, a tour on the production facilities, from the reactant storage to the polymerization reactors, as well as filling and the analytics of the final product was given.
