Annual Meeting High-Pressure Process Engineering 2022

2022/05/02

On May 2nd and 3rd, the annual meeting of the ProcessNet groups Fluid Process Engineering and High-Pressure Process Engineering took place at DECHEMA House in Frankfurt.

Two plenary lectures reported on the role of hydrogen in the chemical industry, as well as a case study on sustainable chemical sites. In addition to the two plenary lectures, the joint poster sessions and the evening program also facilitated the exchange between the two groups. Furthermore, subject-specific sessions on both high-pressure process engineering and fluid process engineering were held. Our working group is represented at the conference with the topics modeling, safety engineering, phase behavior and calorimetry below high pressures. The following posters and presentations were contributed:

  • Calorimetric Investigation of Decomposition Kinetics of Peroxide(mixtures) under High Pressure using Transitiometry, Svenja Albus, Jana Sartorius, Markus Busch (poster)
  • Using CFD to Investigate Boundary Layer Phenomena in Mini-Plant Tubular LDPE Reactors, Jonas Degenkolb, Markus Busch (presentation)
  • Coupled CFD and Monte Carlo Approach for Modeling a LDPE-Reactor, Lena Gockel, Markus Busch (poster)
  • Relief of Polymerization Mixtures from High-Pressure, Moritz Imhoff, Aaron Röblitz, Markus Busch (presentation)
  • Acrylic Acid – High-Pressure Feeding Challenges and Phase Behavior, Alexander Klimeck, Patryk Sewruk, Markus Busch (poster)
  • Influence of Solvent, Pressure and Peroxide Cocktail on the Kinetic of Peroxide Decomposition, Jana Sartorius, Svenja Albus, Markus Busch (presentation)
