Presentation Award for Lena Gockel

At the 10th PhD Workshop of the EFCE Working Party on Polymer Reaction Engineering (WPPRE), Lena Gockel wins the “Macromolecular Journals Best Contribution Award” granted by Wiley.
The presentation is entitled “Influence of Mixing Processes on the Microstructure of LDPE ”. A modeling approach combining flow simulations (CFD) with a stochastic Monte Carlo algorithm to describe LDPE reactors was presented. The model is used to investigate the influence of mixing on polymer properties such as molecular weight distribution or long- and short-chain branching density.
