Summer School 2022

In July, ten PhD students of the Busch group participated in a Summer School on High Pressure Technology. This consisted of the two events GEHPT (“Green Engineering by High Pressure Technology”) from July 3rd to July 10th in Maribor and ESS-HPT (“European Summer School in High Pressure Technology”) from July 11th to July 17th in Graz.
The Summer School included lectures on various high pressure applications given by 21 lecturers from different European universities. These included two lectures by Prof. Busch on “Kinetics of High Pressure Chemical Reactions Including Benefits” and “Application of Pressure and SCF Technology in a World Scale Process”. In addition to the lectures, participants presented their own research topics in short talks. Furthermore, an excursion to NATEX Prozesstechnologie GmbH offered the opportunity to get an insight into the industrial application of high pressure technology. In addition to the lecture program, there were numerous activities to network and make contacts with each other.
