Visit to Evonik in Weiterstadt

The meeting with the alumni at the Santa Claus coffee resulted in an invitation to visit Evonik Industries AG. Some doctoral students took advantage of this opportunity on December 14 and visited the Oil Additives unit in Weiterstadt.
After a brief introduction to the topic of oil additives, the group visited the polymerization plants at the site. The PhD students got an overview of the production from storage of the monomers to filling of the finished product. Many thanks to Maria Stimeier and Evonik Industries AG for this exciting insight!
