C03

Project C03 aims to develop chemically ordered Fe-based magnetic materials, focusing on metastable α″-Fe₈N and L1₀-FeNi. Using advanced nitridation, denitrogenation, and oxide-reduction routes, the project will induce tetragonality and chemical order to enhance magnetocrystalline anisotropy. Combining synthesis, in-situ characterization, and DFT modeling, we develop further our understanding of iron’s structure – magnetism relationships for sustainable high-performance applications in rare earth-free hard magnets.
