This year’s meeting of the DECHEMA working groups for High-Pressure Process Engineering and Adsorption took place from March 13th to 15th at the Hörsaal- und Medienzentrum (HMZ) of TU Darmstadt.

This month Kristina had the pleasure to visit Brave Analytics, a deep-tech start-up in Graz, Austria.

Dr. Hans Messer Stiftungspreis würdigt zwei Forschende der TU Darmstadt

Die Chemikerin Dr. Kristina Zentel und der Maschinenbau-Ingenieur Dr.-Ing. Philipp Rosendahl von der TU Darmstadt erhalten den Dr. Hans Messer Stiftungspreis 2023, der mit jeweils 50.000 Euro dotiert ist. Zentel will die Kunststoffherstellung nachhaltiger gestalten, Rosendahl entwickelt Modelle für die Lawinenvorhersage.

From the 8th to 10th September 2023, the 11th PhD-Student Workshop of the EFCE Working Party on Polymer Reaction Engineering (WPPRE) took place at the Fraunhofer IAP Conference Center in Potsdam as a direct follow-up event to the PRE conference. The WPPRE provides a framework for young scientists in the field of polymer reaction engineering to exchange ideas with each other and to establish contacts in the industry.

The 14th International Workshop on Polymer Reaction Engineering took place from September 5th to 8th 2023 at the Fraunhofer IAP Conference Center in Potsdam (Germany).

In the context of the TC1 lecture an excursion led by Prof. Markus Busch and Dr. Kristina Zentel to the Evonik Industries AG site in Weiterstadt took place on August 9th.

Kristina Zentel received the “Top Downloaded Article” award for her paper “Predicting Polymer Properties via a Coupled Kinetic, Stochastic and Rheological Modeling Approach from Reaction Conditions” from Wiley. This makes the paper one of the most downloaded articles within the first year of publication between 1st January 2021 and 31st December 2021.

At the annual meeting of the ProcessNet working group for High-Pressure Process Engineering in Bochum, Dr. Kristina Zentel received the Professor-Siegfried-Peter award for her research in the area of high-pressure polymerization technology.
