At the Summer School organized by Professor Thomas Gamse (TU Graz), the participants received an intensive course on a wide range of topics from the field of high-pressure technology over a period of two weeks.

With 39 participants from 15 different European universities, the focus was particularly on international exchange. Various applications and background information on high-pressure technology were taught in numerous lectures. As one of the 27 lecturers from 12 European countries, Professor Markus Busch gave two lectures on the topics of “Kinetics of High Pressure Chemical Reactions Including Benefits” and “Application of Pressure and SCF Technology in a World Scale Process”. In addition, all participants had the opportunity to present their research topics in a short presentation, followed by a short discussion.

In addition to the lecture programme, the group was able to visit the high-pressure laboratories of the University of Maribor, the high-pressure extraction plants of NATEX Prozesstechnologie GmbH and see the high-pressure equipment of BHDT GmbH.

In addition to the technical program, the Summer School offered participants the ideal opportunity to network and make new contacts during joint leisure activities.
