ChemCup 2023

In the continuation of a long-standing tradition, this year’s ChemCup, the soccer tournament of the chemistry department, took place on August 16th. Therefore, a total of 11 teams from the different research groups came together in the university’s stadium (Hochschulstadion).

The team of the research group Busch was supported by one player of the mechanical workshop. Following successes in the group phase and quarter-finals, the team won the semi-finals during an exciting penalty shootout against the research group Kolmar. The team of the research group Busch reached the finals, where they were defeated by the team of the Chemistry Student Council (Fachschaft).

This year again, numerous spectators cheered for their teams in the university’s stadium excitedly. In the sunny weather the closely located universities pool (Hochschulbad) provided some refreshment away from the sporting part. Many thanks to the research group Hausch for the organization of this year’s ChemCup!
