Johannes Pfeiffer got awarded the German Bunsen Society for Physical Chemistry (DBG) Master's Prize 2025 for an outstanding Master's thesis on the topic: „Mechanistic investigation of the oxidative dehydrogenation of ethanol via iron vanadate catalysts“

Nikolai Kochetov (associated member of B07) won bester poster award at 45th FGMR Annual Discussion Meeting, Rostock, Germany on 09.-12.09.2024.

Marc Ledendecker (C06) has been awarded the Joachim Walther Schultze Prize 2024 for his pioneering work in the development of stable nanoparticles for electrochemical reactions. The German Association of Electrochemical Research Institutes (AGEF e.V.) awards the prize, endowed with 2,000 Euro, every two years to early career independent researchers for their important contribution to electrochemistry-related research topics.

Jannik Mehmel was awarded for his outstanding scientific achievements (master thesis) of the Association of Friends of the Technical University of Darmstadt e.V.

Yannick L. Legscha (Ö) was awarded this year's Athena Prize in the Chemistry Department on 20.11.2024. Together with his colleague Krenare Ibraj, he received the award for innovative training courses on the topic of sustainability, which was exemplified by the CRC.

Pallabi Bhuyan (C06) received the prestigious Humboldt Fellowship of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.

Carlos Jimenez Munoz (B01) did a three weeks research stay at Dr. Ragnar Bjornsson, CEA researcher in the Computational Chemistry in May and July 2024.

Jan Kergaßner (C04) did a two week research stay at Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica in San Pablo, Heredia, and Tecnológico de Costa Rica in Cartago with Prof. Céspedes-Camacho in Juli/August 2024.

Dr. Lingmei Ni got Poster Award (third Prize) in the poster session at 34th GCCCD annual conference on 02.-03.12.2023, at TU Dresden.

Charlotte Gallenkamp (B01) was awarded at the Bunsen meeting “Physical Chemistry of the Energy Transition” that took place in Berlin, 05.-07.12.2023 with the Agnes Pockels PhD Prize. Further information See here

Nicole Segura (B08) won a poster prize for the ”Manipulating FeNC catalysts with metal nanoparticle” ISE 74th Annual Meeting, 03.-08.09.2023, Lyon, France.

Niklas von Rhein (B01) won a Presentation award from the Computational Chemistry group of the Spanish Royal Society at ESPA 2024 in Tarragona, 03.-07.06.2024.

Nicole Segura got a travel scholarship (Sandwich) for 3 month research stay at Bar-Ilan university, Israel in the working group of Lior Elbaz.

Yannick L. Legscha (Ö) played a leading role in one of the projects which were selected at TU Darmstadt in the course of the „sustainability projects“ selection in September 2023. All four award-winning projects play a role in efforts to promote sustainability at TUDa.

Filip Rivic (C07), got an poster ward at „Dynamics of electrons in atomic and molecular nanoclusters“, International School of Solid State, Physics, 25.-31.08.2022, Sicily, Italy.

Eva Kölle-Görgen (C06) was awarded for her best master thesis in technical chemistry from Dechema with the title „An electrochemical flow-cell setup for the detection of potential-resolved dissolution products for fuel cell and electrolyzer applications“

Marcel Dürl (A04) won a Poster Award at 21st Conference on Inorganic Chemistry, Marburg, 26.09.-28.09.2022 with his poster „Activation of Fe2(MoO4)3 by Ball Milling – Probing for Catalytic Active Sites“
