Science communication is a major goal of Iron, upgraded! For the accompanying research in the subject didactics, three foci are chosen:

(i) Empirical studies on mindsets/conceptions of Green Chemistry, substitution and related terms, in particular on structure-property relationship using the example of iron and its environment;

(ii) Curricular innovations and their implementation in teaching/learning at schools and extracurricular learning venues as well as via social media;

(iii) Further training for multipliers on innovative chemistry of iron; diversity-sensitive events for girls on vocational orientation (green jobs).
