Welcome to the Kramm Research Group!
The Catalyst and Electrocatalysts group combines the research on (1) materials preparation, (2) application in the device (e. g. fuel cell, electrolyser, metal air battery) and (3) the in situ and operando spectroscopical characterization by nuclear resonant methods (e. g. Mössbauer spectroscopy, nuclear forward scattering) and X-ray absorption and X-ray emission spectroscopies. We have a strong focus on new materials, aiming for the replacement or significant reduction of critical raw materials. Besides electrocatalysis, we also work on iron-based catalysts in thermal catalysis, and iron as energy carrier to retrofit coal-fired power plants.
