In the context of the TC1 lecture an excursion led by Prof. Markus Busch and Dr. Kristina Zentel to the Evonik Industries AG site in Weiterstadt took place on August 9th.

The ASME PVP (Pressure Vessels & Piping) Conference was held this year from July 16th to 21st in Atlanta (Georgia, USA). The research group Busch was represented with three presentations.

Seven PhD students of the research group Busch participated from July 9th to 22nd in the ESS-HPT („The European Summer School in High Pressure Technology“) 2023 in Graz (Austria).

In order to conclude a cooperation project, six PhD students of the research group Busch together with Professor Busch visited the Linz plant of Borealis in Austria on July 6th.

On July 5th, 2023 the graduation party of the department of chemistry took place, which twice a year honors the graduates, who completed their Bachelor's or Master's degree or doctorate.

On July 3rd 2023, Christoph Mohl successfully defended his doctoral thesis entitled “Structure Investigation of the High-Pressure-Copolymerization of Ethene and 1,7-Octadiene”.

From June 28th to 30th Professor Busch and Svenja Albus visited the company United Initiators in Pullach (Germany).

This year’s seminar week took place from June 19th to 25th in Hirschegg.

On June 16, 2023, the sixteenth annual meeting of Darmstadt’s Chemical Technologists took place at the Restaurant Oberwaldhaus with the award of the Ernst-Berl-Medal.
