From May 15th to 17th, the annual meeting on Reaction Engineering was held at the DECHEMA-Haus in Frankfurt.

From May 10th to 12th, Prof. Busch visited the company Borealis in Stenungsund (Sweden) with Denise Eryildirim, Lorenz Schmidt and Joshua Stahl. The working group Busch and Borealis AG have a long-lasting cooperation in various projects.

On April 21st, this year’s spring hike (“Blütenwanderung”) of the TU Darmstadt research groups on technical chemistry took place at the Bergstraße in Heppenheim.

Kristina Zentel received the “Top Downloaded Article” award for her paper “Predicting Polymer Properties via a Coupled Kinetic, Stochastic and Rheological Modeling Approach from Reaction Conditions” from Wiley. This makes the paper one of the most downloaded articles within the first year of publication between 1st January 2021 and 31st December 2021.

At the annual meeting of the ProcessNet working group for High-Pressure Process Engineering in Bochum, Dr. Kristina Zentel received the Professor-Siegfried-Peter award for her research in the area of high-pressure polymerization technology.

From March 13th to 15th this year’s meeting of the DECHEMA working groups for High-Pressure Process Engineering and Food Processing Engineering took place at the Ruhr University Bochum.

On 16th January 2023, the PhD examination of Julia Eigenseer took place, where she successfully defended her doctoral thesis with the title „Targeted molecular properties of linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE): A continuous solution polymerization Mini-Plant as a polymer reaction engineering (PRE) tool”.

On 19th December 2022, Maria Dernbach successfully defended her doctoral thesis entitled “Applications of Modeling for Ethylene Polymerization Processes and their Products”.

For this year's Christmas party, the working group met with Prof. Busch on 16.12.2022 for bowling and billiards. After a mulled wine at the Christmas market, the evening was rounded with a meal at the Grohe brewery.
