Kristina Zentel received the “Top Downloaded Article” award for her paper “Using a Multiscale Modeling Approach to Correlate Reaction Conditions with Polymer Microstructure and Rheology” from Wiley. This makes the paper one of the most downloaded articles within the first year of publication between 1st January 2019 and 31st December 2020.

For her poster titled “Calorimetric Investigation of Decomposition Kinetics of Peroxide(mixtures) under High Pressure using Transitiometry” Svenja Albus wins together with Jana Sartorius the “Best Poster Award” of the annual meeting of the ProcessNet group High-Pressure Process Engineering 2022.

On May 2nd and 3rd, the annual meeting of the ProcessNet groups Fluid Process Engineering and High-Pressure Process Engineering took place at DECHEMA House in Frankfurt.

At the 10th PhD Workshop of the EFCE Working Party on Polymer Reaction Engineering (WPPRE), Lena Gockel wins the “Macromolecular Journals Best Contribution Award” granted by Wiley.

From April 20th to 22nd the 10th PhD Workshop of the EFCE Working Party on Polymer Reaction Engineering (WPPRE) took place in San Sebastian. The WPPRE provides a framework for young scientists in the field of polymer reaction engineering to exchange ideas with each other and to establish contacts in the industry.

On March 25, the Busch working group went on a hiking trip along the Bergstrasse Hessen. The excursion started with a city tour in Bensheim, which ended in an ice cream parlor. Afterwards, the group walked to Heppenheim and concluded the day with a meal together.

On 10th March 2022, the PhD examination of David took place, where he successfully defended his doctoral thesis with the title „Safety Technology Investigations in the Field of LDPE High-Pressure Synthesis”

The Academy of Sciences and Literature in Mainz has awarded Dr. Kristina Zentel – at the suggestion of Prof. H. Ringsdorf – an Academy Prize for Young Scientists. The prize is a recognition of her scientific achievements and an encouragement for future research.

For years, it has been a tradition for current members of the Busch Working Group to meet with alumni for Santa Claus coffee. This year's Santa Claus coffee took place on December 3. With homemade cookies, mulled wine and chili con carne, the physical well-being was well taken care of.

From December 1st to 3rd, Prof. Busch visited the company Borealis in Stenungsund (Sweden) with Denise Eryildirim and Lorenz Schmidt. Our working group and Borealis AG have a long-lasting cooperation in various projects.
